Fil Pa - Persian Rugs

Often referred to as 'elephants foot' design as it resembles and elephants foot print! The design is very predominant in Afghan and Turkoman carpets. Fil Pa rugs are sometimes incorrectly referred as Bokhara rugs as it originated from Turkoman Tekke, however, over a period of centuries the contents of the gul vary. All ancient designs have a story to tell and this pattern represents wisdom.
