Pakistani Rugs and Carpets are produced in different cities like Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Dera ghazi khan and many other cities. There are two different qualities produced in Pakistan; The single wefted Caucasian designs and Double wefted Persian designs. The single weft carpets have soft and long piles and beautiful sheen. Single wefted carpets is durable. Double wefted carpets are very hard but its life is more than single wefted carpets. Most famous designs in singe weft is Bokhara and mori gul, and in double wefted there is Shajar kaar, Shikar gaa, kermani and more of the designs inspired from the Persian carpets, like isfahan , Nain and other. Most of the peoples are scarred to buy Pakistani Carpets but they are not right. Pakistani carpets are more durable and it ranks on second after the quality Persian carpets.
