Kilims (or Kelims or Gelims) at their best are not only extremely decorative; they serve a highly utilitarian purpose. Here are some excellent examples of this twofold function. Inspired by the natural colors of the landscape and rugged terrain, the patterns of these kilims tend to be simple and bold, the fabrics, tough and hard-wearing. Among the best known in our Kilim collection are those of Baluch, Turkoman, Uzbek, Taimani, the Kazak. They are ideal for a medium-size, heavily traficked areas.
